29/09/2023

On September 29, the Spatial Marine Lab participated in European Researchers’ Night, one of Europe’s largest scientific dissemination events. Held in the Port of Valencia, the event offered more than thirty activities designed to bring the wonders of science closer to the public.

European Researchers’ Night, supported by the European Commission as part of the Horizon Europe program, has been a simultaneous occurrence in nearly 400 European cities since 2005. In Valencia, the main event was hosted in the Port, thanks to the collaboration of the MedNight and Science GTS projects, with the support of institutions like the Universitat de València.

The Spatial Marine Lab participated in the event with its workshop entitled “Connected oceans: new technologies for marine conservation”, which introduced attendees to the IOS4DOM project and emerging technologies for monitoring marine biodiversity.
