Research intern
(REDUCE Project)
He has BSc in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and is currently studying a MSc in Biostatistics at the University of Valencia (UV). He has participated in National and European projects such as TRANSITION (TRansfers of Anthropogenic and Natural Stressors Involving Trophic Interactions of Ocean Nekton, modeling the pollutant load and transmission at population level of cetaceans in Galician waters) and CetAMBicion (Coordinated Strategy for Evaluation, Monitoring and Management of Cetaceans in the Bay of Biscay and the Iberian Coast subregion, modelling the risk of incidental capture of cetaceans in the Bay of Biscay and the Iberian Peninsula). He is also member of the Working Group on Marime Mammal Ecology (WGMME) of ICES.
His main research interests focus on the use of new statistical modelling techniques to determine the abundance and distribution of cetaceans and therefore their possible interactions with fisheries and other human pressures.
