Collaborating Researcher, Spatial Marine Lab

BSc in Biology and MSc in Marine Conservation. He completed his PhD at the Spatial Marine Lab, graduating cum laude, focusing on the impacts of bottom trawl fisheries on Mediterranean chondrichthyans. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Ifremer (France), where he develops predictive tools to assess capture and mortality risk in marine megafauna while continuing to collaborate with the Spatial Marine Lab and the REDUCE project. Throughout his career, he has participated in national and international research projects and scientific campaigns in New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines and across Europe, collaborating with universities, research institutes and conservation organisations.

His main research interests focus on cumulative impacts on marine megafauna, particularly chondrichthyans, integrating health assessments, spatial ecology, fisheries data and advanced statistical modelling to understand habitat use, species vulnerability and the effects of human activities and climate change on marine ecosystems.
