RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES
We welcome enquiries from motivated students and researchers interested in marine spatial ecology, movement ecology, marine conservation, human-wildlife interactions and the application of new technologies to ocean observing.
Ways to join the lab
Depending on available supervision and funding, opportunities may include:
- MSc and final-year research projects
- Research visits and internships
- PhD projects
- Postdoctoral research and fellowship applications
- Collaborations with researchers from other institutions
Applicants from different disciplines are welcome, particularly those with experience or interest in ecology, quantitative methods, spatial analysis, animal tracking, remote sensing or marine technologies.
Funding your research
Most opportunities to join the lab depend on external or competitive funding. The Science in Spain resources, developed by EURAXESS Spain and FECYT, provide an overview of European, national and regional funding opportunities across the different stages of a research career.
If you identify a suitable funding scheme, please contact us sufficiently early to discuss its fit with the lab and the possibility of developing a proposal together.
How to contact us
If you are interested in joining the lab, please contact David March at david.march@uv.es, including:
- A brief description of your research interests and how they relate to our work
- Your current career stage and relevant experience
- The type of project or collaboration you are seeking
- Any potential funding scheme or expected source of funding
- A short CV
Please consult our research lines and recent publications before contacting us. As supervision capacity is limited, we may not be able to support every enquiry.
