Clara Lerebourg
PhD Student
Clara has a bachelor’s degree in life sciences and a master’s degree in marine sciences from Sorbonne University (Paris). During her bachelor’s degree, she volunteered for 1 year at the National Natural History Museum in Paris and continued during her master’s with an internship. She worked on habitat modelling for benthic bycatch species and assessed the effective level of protection afforded to these species.
She went on to do a second internship on sperm whale habitat modelling in the western Mediterranean using acoustic and satellite data.
Finally, she worked for 2 years on tropical tuna fisheries, before starting a phd in September 2024 on multi-species modelling of by-catches and marine space planning for EU tropical tuna fisheries in the Atlantic Ocean.
