Irati Abascal Zúñiga

Irati is a biologist with a Master’s degree in Oceanography and Marine Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona. Her passion for marine conservation has led her to diverse experiences, including fieldwork in the study and tracking of seabirds and turtles in Cabo Verde and the Canary Islands.
She has started working with new technologies focusing on their application in the study of marine biodiversity. Recently certified as a drone pilot, she is dedicated to developing the use of UAVs for marine megafauna and human activities monitoring.
