Jazel Ouled-Cheikh is a postdoctoral researcher at the Universitat de València, working within the REDUCE project. His research focuses on the movement and spatial ecology of marine megafauna, combining satellite telemetry, species distribution modelling and quantitative ecological methods to investigate how marine predators respond to environmental variability across multiple spatial scales.

Within REDUCE, his research examines how oceanographic mesoscale features influence the bycatch of marine megafauna and develops multi-taxa spatial analyses to identify habitat hotspots across sharks, seabirds, sea turtles and cetaceans. By integrating animal tracking, environmental data and fisheries information, his work aims to better understand the spatial overlap between marine megafauna and human activities and the ecological processes driving these interactions.
